You decide who you encounter in Match or on the Nearby list—at least when it comes to Gender and age range. Premium members can also use the advanced filters. They allow you to search for people who speak a certain language, may already have children, do not smoke, and much more.    

If you want to change your Search Settings, you have 3 options:

Change Search Settings in Match

You will see the filter icon in the top right corner. Tap it to set or change your preferences and see potential matches that interest you.

Change Search Settings in Nearby

When you tap Nearby in the bottom bar of the App, you will also find the filter icon in the top right corner. Tap it to access the settings and set or change your preferences.

Change Search Settings in your profile 

In your profile, tap the gear icon to access your settings. Here, you can adjust your preferences using the filters under “Search Settings.” 

An important note: It is not possible to search for people by profile name.
