You decide who you see in Match or the Near you list – at least in terms of gender and age range. Premium members can also use the advanced filters. They let you search for persons who speak a certain language, who already have children, are non-smokers, and many more options.

If you would like to change your search settings, you have 3 options:

Change search settings in Match

At the top right, you will see the filter icon. Tap on it to set or change your preferences and see interesting partners you might want to flirt with.

Change search settings in the Near you view

If you click on Near you in the bottom bar of the app, you will also see a filter icon in the top right corner. Tap on it to go to the settings, where you can set or change your preferences.

Change search settings in your profile

In your profile, tap on the gear icon to go to the settings. You can customize your preferences here by using the filters under "Search settings".

Note: It is not possible to search for people by their profile name.
