What rules apply on LOVOO?

LOVOO is the place where you can discover new people in just a few swipes. The app can offer you so much, such as fun, deep conversations, self-awareness, distraction, experiences and maybe even love. And this is mainly thanks to the great people you can meet on LOVOO.

With a few simple rules, we want to enable you to be free and creative in expressing yourself while creating a safe and respectful atmosphere. This applies to all our features, including for LOVOO Live.

Act with integrity

A basic requirement for having a great time on LOVOO: Treat the people you meet here well. Never send messages that are offensive, intrusive or threatening.

Every form of intolerance is unacceptable on LOVOO.

A good way to check is to ask, would I want to read a message like this?

The following specifically applies to LOVOO Live:

A good livestream is one where you can actually see the live streamers. Faces must be easily recognizable. Streaming in a mask or with a black screen, or showing the ceiling etc., is not desirable or permitted.

Generally speaking, the following does not belong on LOVOO or on your streams:

• Pornographic content and violence

Videos that indicate or show nudity, sexual and/or pornographic acts or violence are not permitted on LOVOO Live. This also applies to erotic poses/acts in underwear, as well as streaming in the shower or bath (even if you don't show yourself in the nude).

• Nudity or sexual overtones that involve underage persons

Underage persons must be very well protected. Videos that feature nudity or sexual acts involving/with underage persons are forbidden on LOVOO. Furthermore, underage persons are not allowed to use LOVOO.

• Violation of privacy

You must have the consent of other people to publish images of them or to show them in a video. Please also remember to protect the spatial privacy of other people as well as their intellectual property and private information. For example, pictures of your home or bedroom may not be shown without consent under any circumstances.

• Threats

Intimidation and blackmail have no place on LOVOO. Never threaten or frighten other users. We will punish violations as appropriate.

• Harassment, bullying and insults

Refrain from doing anything that deliberately hurts, harasses or humiliates other people. If someone is not interested in you, please respect their decision.

• Fakes

LOVOO should be one thing above everything else—authentic. For this reason, you need a profile picture on LOVOO in which you are easily recognizable. We also ask that you verify your profile. Please do not upload pictures of other people, celebrities or organizations as your profile picture, only pictures of yourself.

• Spam

Misusing a LOVOO profile for commercial purposes, i.e. drawing attention to other websites or services, is not permitted. You can find more information on our anti-spam system and differences between fakes, spam and scams by clicking on this link.

• Identity fraud/theft

You may not impersonate any person, group or organization in order to intentionally mislead, confuse or deceive others.

• Vulgar language

We do not accept language that crosses the line, insulting swear words or racist terms. We value respectful interaction on the app.

• Safety first

Dangerous activities or products that could lead to you becoming injured have no place on LOVOO. And we're thinking of our Live feature in particular here. Streaming while you're driving or operating devices or machines is dangerous for you and others and is therefore forbidden.

• Alcohol and drugs

The consumption of drugs is strictly prohibited. In other words, binge drinking and drinking games have no place on LOVOO.

• Unlawful use

LOVOO may not be used for unlawful purposes or to facilitate illegal activities. You should also observe the applicable legislation in your country.

• Contests and competitions

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the European Union to take part in our competitions or contests. You may not send yourself any gifts or have any gifts sent to you by other accounts that you directly or indirectly control. We may ask potential winners to provide proof of eligibility within seven days of our request. If you are not authorized or cannot provide the requested information or if the content of your stream does not comply with our Terms of Use, we reserve the right to exclude you from the contest.

Note: Anyone who does not abide by our rules will be banned. Unauthorized content will be deleted and/or the account blocked. The block may be temporary or permanent, depending on the severity of the violation. We reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to rule violations on an individual basis and at our discretion. You are LOVOO if you take these rules seriously.

If you see someone violating these rules, please report the profile to us immediately. If you feel harassed by a LOVOO user, you can report this to us at any time and block the person. We'll take over from there.
